About College

The M.S.I. (Muluk Sherair Irani) Pre-University College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Gulbarga came into existence in the year 1978 due to the bifurcation of MSI Institute. The Institute is catering to the needs and aspiration of the rural, semi-rural, socially, economically less advanced students in the field of science, Arts and Commerce discipline. In its infancy the College was located in PDA Engineering College Premises. The Managements proactive involvement with a concern for the rural based students under the chairmanship of Dr. A. B. Malakareddy paved way to have its own beautiful building with basic infrastructure. The building was inaugurated by Shri Veerendra Patil, Union Home Minister.

The College under grant in aid is catering three courses in Arts, Science and Commerce faculty. The college has three section of 100 intake in each faculty. Right from the inception, the college has strength of 500 students.

The institution is provided by full fledged Lecture Hall. It has an auditorium hall of capacity to accomodate 700 students. A library having 7000 books collection, magazines, newspapers and periodicals - is an added credential. The fully equipped laboratories of Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the catalytic agents to attract students to science faculty. With the generous help from management a beautiful botanical garden is being developed. Today it has established itself as an oldest institution teaching Pre-University Course in Gulbarga.
